Corporate and social responsibility policy

At the Best Western White House Hotel we have recognised we have role to play in the local community and a responsibility to promote good practice as a way of life.

Community
The hotel has supported a number of local schools in their charitable endeavors and with work experience programs. 

Likewise we believe in looking after the team who work here, and currently we have a member of our team with over 20 years service and 5 with over 10 years service.

Environment 
Reducing energy consumption is one of our key management objectives. Initiatives have included replacing taps to reduce water wastage and instructing a new waste company to enable us to recycle more effectively. We also look to reduce wastage by effectively training staff in recycling and managing equipment at the hotel. January 2009 saw us introduce energy efficient boilers in the old house of the hotel and 2011 in other corridors. In our bedrooms we have pump dispensers for our shampoo and a re-use programme for towels. All produce where possible is locally sourced.
